Our Day at the Zoo

We have a WILD opportunity for you!  The Oklahoma City Zoo and Metropolitan Library System are excited to roll out a new, statewide literacy program called for Read for Adventure. This program aims to promote literacy within families, increase their contact with the outdoors and provide an outlet for invaluable, nature-inspired discoveries.  Educating Oklahomans about wildlife and wild places has always been central to the OKC Zoo’s mission and through this partnership, we are inspiring children to read about wildlife and connect with those same animals and plants here at the Zoo.  Read for Adventure enables any Oklahoma resident to check out “Our Day at the Zoo” from any library located in the state and receive one (1) voucher good for general admission for four (4) people to the Oklahoma City Zoo.  The voucher is good through March 31, 2019.

Read for Adventure runs May 1, 2018 through March 31, 2019.  The program is free to participate and open to any Oklahoman with a valid library card.
